Club Fundraising Programme Terms

The Become Unplayable Club Fundraising Programme allows approved grassroots football clubs and junior teams to receive fundraising contributions from qualifying purchases made through their unique club link or promotional code.

The programme is operated by Become Unplayable.

The programme is intended for grassroots football clubs and junior football teams based in the United Kingdom.

All registrations are subject to approval by Become Unplayable.

We may accept, reject, suspend or remove a club from the programme at our reasonable discretion.

The person registering must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of the club.

Approved clubs will receive a unique referral link, promotional code or both.

The club is responsible for sharing the correct link or code with its players, parents and supporters.

Purchases can only be attributed to the club when its unique link or code is correctly used and the purchase is successfully tracked by our systems.

We cannot guarantee that purchases can be attributed retrospectively if the customer does not use the correct link or code.

The club will receive a fundraising contribution of £3 for each qualifying Foundation Pack purchase attributed to its unique link or code.

The contribution applies only to the Foundation Pack unless Become Unplayable confirms otherwise in writing.

A qualifying purchase is an order that:

• Has been successfully completed and paid for
• Has been attributed to the club’s unique link or code
• Has not been cancelled, refunded, returned or charged back
• Is not considered fraudulent, artificial or a duplicate transaction
• Meets any applicable product and geographical restrictions

Become Unplayable’s tracking and order records will be used to calculate qualifying purchases.

Eligible fundraising contributions are calculated and payments are processed once per month, provided the club has supplied valid payment information.

Payments will be made using the payment method supported by Become Unplayable at that time.

If payment cannot be completed because the information provided is incomplete or incorrect, the balance will be carried forward until valid payment information is received.

Cancelled, refunded, returned, disputed or charged-back orders do not qualify for a fundraising contribution.

If a qualifying contribution has already been paid and the associated order is subsequently refunded or charged back, the amount may be deducted from the club’s next payment.

Clubs must promote Become Unplayable accurately, responsibly and in good faith.

Clubs must not:

• Make false or misleading statements about Become Unplayable or its products
• Make claims that have not been approved by Become Unplayable
• Suggest an official endorsement by The Football Association, a professional club, governing body or other organisation
• Use spam, unsolicited bulk messages or misleading advertising
• Purchase through their own link for the purpose of artificially generating contributions
• Manipulate or interfere with the programme’s tracking systems

When promoting the programme, clubs should make it clear that they receive a fundraising contribution from qualifying purchases.

Become Unplayable may provide clubs with approved images, wording and other promotional materials.

These materials may only be used to promote the Club Fundraising Programme and must not be altered in a misleading way.

The club may use the Become Unplayable name and approved promotional materials while it remains a participant in the programme.

Become Unplayable will not publicly use a club’s badge or imply that the club endorses its products without the appropriate permission.

The club is responsible for ensuring that the information and payment details it provides are accurate and kept up to date.

Become Unplayable is not responsible for delayed or unsuccessful payments caused by incorrect or incomplete information.

The club is responsible for determining whether any tax, accounting or reporting obligations apply to the money it receives through the programme.

Become Unplayable cannot provide tax, financial or accounting advice to participating clubs.

Become Unplayable may change the programme, contribution amount or these terms.

Where a change materially affects participating clubs, reasonable notice will be provided by email or through the website.

Changes will not reduce fundraising contributions already earned from qualifying purchases before the change takes effect.

Continued participation after the effective date of updated terms will constitute acceptance of those changes.

Where legally or operationally appropriate, Become Unplayable may require clubs to actively accept an updated version of the terms.

A club may leave the programme at any time by contacting Become Unplayable.

Become Unplayable may suspend or terminate a club’s participation if:

• The club breaches these terms
• Fraudulent or suspicious activity is identified
• The programme is promoted in a misleading or inappropriate way
• The club damages or is reasonably likely to damage the reputation of Become Unplayable
• Continuing the relationship is no longer commercially or operationally practical

Valid fundraising contributions earned before termination will remain payable, subject to these terms.

We will take reasonable steps to maintain the programme and its tracking systems, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Become Unplayable will not be responsible for sales that cannot be tracked because of incorrect links, blocked cookies, technical problems outside our reasonable control or actions taken by the customer.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

To the extent permitted by law, Become Unplayable will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in the programme.

Our total liability relating to the programme will not exceed the total fundraising contributions paid or payable to the club during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Personal information provided through the programme will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We will use the information to:

• Assess and administer club registrations
• Contact club representatives
• Track qualifying purchases
• Calculate and process payments
• Prevent fraud and misuse
• Communicate important programme updates

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to the programme.
